The Greater Bilby is an endangered omnivorous marsupial, it is listed as vulnerable under the Environmental Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (1). The Bilby occupies open tussock grassland on uplands and hills, mulga woodland/shrubland growing on ridges and rises, and hummock grassland in plains and alluvial areas (1). Bilbies have soft silky fur that is a ash grey colour with a white belly and a distinct black tail with a white tip (1). The Bilby is a nocturnal burrowing animal that lives solitary to other bilbies (1).
